Goldengrove Unleaving (Finally!)

Bon anniversaire to the LJ Birthday Twins whom I adore!

Finally, we are seeing some signs of autumn around here.

I went back and checked. It’s not my imagination. This year, the trees are turning much later than they did last year. I’d kind of like to know the scientific explanation for that.

Thick ground mist this morning. Transcription is pretty good. I’d like to stay in bed all day reading it. But I am waaaay behind on all those various Must Accomplish or The World As We Know It Will END-type tasks.

I, too, would like an explanation of why the trees are turning so late. Am I mistaken that it is the lessening light?

I have no idea. But the light is lessening at the same rate that it lessened last year, right? And last year, it seems to me, autumn was much earlier.

Definitely earlier last year. Perhaps whoever controls weather is shaking things up.

I think the temperatures are a factor in the turning of the leaves. Our leaves always start much later than up there.
