Just when you think the political situation in the U.S. could not possibly get any worse—it gets worse.

I don’t know what the scribbler of that seditious New York Times editorial can possibly be thinking.

Assuming there really is a scribbler: I don’t have a particularly high regard for the New York Times’ probity.

###

Cthulu is facing a test to Its Supreme Domination over all Dark Matter like unto which no anthropoid monster has ever faced before.

The dilemma—which It does not fully grasp—is that many of the Senior Old Ones are working diligently to subvert the Necronomicon that contains Its agenda and to thwart Its Nightmarish Prophecies.

I would know. I am one of them.

###

What’s being described in that editorial is a coup.

A secretive transfer of power outside the normal channels of governance.

And I’m supposed to find that reassuring?

There are legitimate mechanisms in place to remove Trump if his minions think he presents a threat.

I think Trump presents a huge threat.

I think this back channel maneuvering presents an even bigger threat.

###

This is the end of democracy in America, you know. All we need now is for Beleaguered House Elf Kellyanne Conway to stab Trump in the bath.

Stay tuned for Weimar Republic-like levels of inflation.

It's pretty alarming. I didn't read it at first. I didn't want to participate in the hysteria/mania that has been constant these days. Now that I have read it I am more worried for what happens after pussygrabber leaves. The complacency from the middle is strong. They are so enamored with their things and selfies. What could possibly shake them loose to participate? What we have is the 30% of awful racists that have been gas-lighting and subverting any real change since the founding and a bunch of disingenuous liberals making their fortunes off click bait and tell all books. If the other 40% doesn't get involved soon my son's 20s 30s and maybe even 40s are going to be pretty depressing.

Yeah.

I've been on the fence about whether I should go out canvassing for Antonio Delgado, who is the Democratic candidate for the House in my congressional district. I support him, but I'm absolutely convinced he is going to lose, so it seems as though it's going to be a lot of wasted energy.

But, man. We have got to do something. Besides rant on social media.

"We have got to do something. Besides rant on social media." Yes we do.

I'm going canvassing and I donated to a bunch of pro-democracy organizations. AAAAH. I'm seriously weirded out because to me, this seems like a huge plan someone has, and we can only see this small part of it. What is the plan? Who is behind it?

What do you think of canvassing?

I find it really daunting. I have to gather together all my courage to do it.

oh wow! I actually don't mind the concept. I think it will be interesting. But I've never done it before, so I guess I'll find out.
