I’ve never been to the Jersey Shore before even though it’s kinda iconic as the place that every native of these parts spent every summer of their childhood.

In other news, the mosquitos are nuts this year. Daily tromps and garden forays have left me covered with bites.
It’s unusual for mosquitos to be out in such numbers this far past Labor Day. What’s up with that, I wonder? Saturated ground soil from all the rain we’ve gotten this year?
I keep expecting to read about encephalitis outbreaks. As though Nature is saying to herself, Damn! COVID isn’t killing those humans off quickly enough. Let’s try something else. Crossposted from Dreamwidth.
